Hello to everyone who was kind enough to stop by and read what’s on my mind. This blog is about Life Lessons. Lessons based upon the knowledge and wisdom I think I’ve gained, along with what I’ve experienced and observed in my 40 something years on this journey called Life. So let me start by saying that I do not claim to know everything, or to be an expert, so don’t sue me. I’m just here to share. I believe we are all a work in progress and can help each other grow. I really enjoy helping people help themselves improve the quality of their lives. My philosophy is “teach a man to fish.”
Ok, so what’s my background? I’m no different from most people who function in various roles: Wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend; And I have previous experiences as a “girlfriend” which I sometimes long for when I get angry at my husband. Did I date a lot? Only in between relationships. Moving on. Since I don’t like being bored, work-wise, I’ve held a few positions — Budget Analyst, Human Resource Advisor, Training Coordinator, Contracts Coordinator, Telework Coordinator, Mentor Program Manager, Newsletter Creator, Writer and Editor, Strategic Planner, Secretary, Department store Model, Eye Glass Factory worker, supervisor, and non-supervisor. As a “military brat” we moved many times and lived many places: Scotland, Germany, Spain, New York (twice), Texas (twice), Virginia, , , and Maryland. And I’ve visited a few places: Alaska, Mexico, Grand Cayman, the Poconos, Canada, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maine, Delaware, Washington state, District of Columbia, Rhode Island, and West Virginia. In a nutshell, I’ve lived a lot of places, met a lot of people, racked up a lot of experiences and learned more lessons than I ever wanted. So I figured, why not share the journey with others. My aim is to post at least 3 to 4 times a week. As the comedian Carol Burnett used to sing each time her show was coming to a close ….. “I’m so glad we had this time together..” Hope you’ll keep coming back! WARNING: These lessons, should you choose to follow them, and not get in your own way, have the potential to improve your life. HAVE A GREAT DAY!
