Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go. -Oscar Wilde
Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it. -Groucho Marx
When I was in grade school, they told me to write down what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down “happy.” They told me I didn’t understand the assignment; I told them they didn’t understand life. -Unknown
Great post! 🙂
PP: Thanks. Just trying to do my part in spreading a little sunshine. 😎
Thank you, that was beautiful 😀
C: Thank you. I think we can all use a little help in finding and maintaining joy.
I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up and I am now 43. happy would be nice but haven’t managed it for long yet!
V: I used to say the same thing but now realize that we can do many things in this lifetime. Who says we have to find just that one thing? Maybe life is all about the journey to eventually getting to that one thing. Or maybe it’s just about the journey and how we grow and change as a result of the journey.
